IronPlanet has authorized several transportation providers to quote loads to our customers. After purchasing a piece of equipment, all you have to do is request during to receive transportation quotes from IronPlanet authorized Transportation Providers on the IronPlanet web site, and we will notify you by email when you receive quotes. If you then select one of the third-party quotes listed on the IronPlanet site, the necessary equipment release documents will automatically be sent to the transportation provider once your full payment has posted for the transaction. This is a free, no obligation service offered for all equipment purchased through IronPlanet. Equipment buyers may always choose to make transportation arrangements themselves.
Note that transportation rates are subject to change and many factors affect transportation costs, including: machine type and configuration, distance and route traveled, as well as type of trailer and permits required to haul the load. In addition, be aware that a less-than-truckload shipment, which may be quoted for equipment weighing less than 11000 kgs, tends to be cheaper than a full-truckload shipment, but typically takes longer for both pick-up and delivery.
Note: the relationship/contract for transportation is ultimately between the buyer and the transportation company. All questions about pickup dates, delivery dates, cost and payment information should be directed to the transport company.
