IronPlanet files registration statement for initial public offering


PLEASANTON, Calif. (March 18, 2010) —IronPlanet, Inc. (“IronPlanet”), an online marketplace for used heavy equipment, announced today that it filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering of its common stock.  The shares in the offering will be offered by IronPlanet and certain selling stockholders.  The number of shares to be offered and the price range for the offering have not yet been determined.

J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. and Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. will be acting as joint book-running managers for the offering, with Cowen and Company, Piper Jaffray & Co. and Needham & Company, LLC acting as co-managers.
